Shipyard SAS Waterhuizen

Technical Specifications
The SAS Waterhuizen shipyard is located along the Winschoterdiep, where shipbuilding has been taking place for over 100 years. Work is carried out at two locations: the main site in Waterhuizen and a second construction site further along the Winschoterdiep in Westerbroek. All disciplines are performed in-house, enabling us to deliver both hull construction and complete outfitting. Entire vessels are built by qualified personnel, including work preparation and steel processing. You can rely on us for the construction of seagoing coasters, inland vessels, as well as for repair work. The main site features a unique longitudinal slipway, where ships are launched stern-first — minimising the risk of damage. In recent years, we have also been using a transverse slipway again, allowing vessels to be safely and spectacularly launched sideways! |
